Gun Control and the American Empire

BillofRightsIn the wake of the recent spate of mass shooting incidents there has been much discussion about firearms and their place in modern America. In my opinion, most of the discussion in the brain dead mainstream media misses the most important point, so I would like to add my two cents (inflation adjusted, more like $2) on the topic. Warning: to those whiny liberal readers living in fantasy land, you may not like this article, so maybe you should pop on over to the Huffington Post where everyone will agree with you.

I won’t waste any time getting to my point here: The United States government spends more on weapons than basically all the other governments of the world combined. Why? It’s not to protect you or me, the average citizen, that’s for sure. This immense military machine exists for two reasons – one, to enrich the elites in the military-industrial complex, and two, to protect the American empire worldwide, most notably the petrodollar which is the linchpin of that empire. The US military machine is the moral equivalent of a bunch of Mafia enforcers protecting the interests of the criminal syndicate which has taken over all branches and levels of the US government and a huge chunk of corporate America.

We really could take the whole world on, kung-fu movie style.

We really could take the whole world on, kung-fu movie style.

World history (which is not a favorite subject of the vast majority of Americans) teaches us that time and time again, wealthy and powerful men have always sought more wealth and more power. They are ruthless in these pursuits. History has also always demonstrated that those men never give up their power voluntarily and never go down without a fight. Governments that serve the interests of these sorts of men throughout history routinely turned to totalitarianism in an attempt to retain power whenever their power has been threatened.

The men who wrote the US Constitution were students of history and they tried to write numerous safeguards against this sort of tyranny right into the Constitution itself. Unfortunately, while it was a noble attempt, these safeguards have been eroded one by one by the criminal element that has taken over the country. Separation of powers? Congress is 100% bought and sold now that Ron Paul has retired. The judicial system is a joke. This will be clearly demonstrated yet again as the blatantly illegal National Defense Authorization Act will eventually be upheld as Hedges v. Obama works its way through the courts. The freedom of the press is meaningless now that the mainstream media is nothing more than the propaganda arm of the American empire. Free speech? They’re working on that by trying to regulate the internet, warrantless spying on Americans, seizure of your electronic devices for no reason at all and by making saying anything that might be offensive to someone unacceptable. Privacy? That’s a joke, with the NSA storing every single electronic communication in a data center in Utah, conducting warrantless searches of “suspected illegal immigrants” in border states, and 1984-style surveillance cameras going up everywhere while drones buzz overhead. Habeas corpus? How’s that working out in Gitmo, which Obama has still not done anything to close in over 4 years despite his repeated promises back in 2008?

What’s left? Guns. Thank God Americans are armed to the teeth. For every 100 Americans there are 88.8 guns in private hands. It it a peculiar quirk of the American personality, our love for guns. But the Founding Fathers knew what they were doing and they knew that even the best designed system of government could still move towards tyranny over time. And here we are today.

In my opinion, the guns in private ownership are the only thing that has prevented the US government from taking nearly all individual freedoms away from Americans. The knowledge that if they were to overtly declare a police state they would have a well armed populace taking potshots at the government’s thug enforcers has been slowing the bad guys down just a bit. This is why the Second Amendment exists, not for hunting, not for home defense from robbers, but as a deterrent to governmental tyranny. The Founders thought it was so important that it was the second right they protected in the Bill of Rights, second only to the freedom of speech, press, religion, and association. They were serious about this right.

But whiny liberals say to me, “But Charlie, why do people need to have assault rifles with extra magazine capacity? All those guns do is kill people, and have no place in 2013 civilized society.”

My response is: The US government is the most dangerous organization that has ever existed in the history of humanity. The firepower possessed by the military machine of the United Sates of America is staggering. Soldiers, guns, subs, tanks, warships, spies, cyber-weapons, nukes, biological and chemical weapons, fighter jets, bases all over the world, secret command posts inside of mountains, and of course Obama’s new favorite toy, the drone, are just some of the weapons we know about. God knows what other secret weapons the US war machine has secretly developed or is developing as we speak.

If one hopes to stand up to those guys, one will need as much firepower as possible. Not some 9mm peashooters, but guns that will make government thugs think twice before trying to violently enforce the US government’s illegal and immoral policies on US citizens. Before dismissing the growing threat of the US Government acting in violent aggression against innocent US citizens consider all of the US military “training exercises” they’ve been conducting lately in US cities, the billion plus round ammunition stockpile the “Department of Homeland Security” has been amassing for use on US soil (hollow points cannot be used in international conflict due to long standing international treaties) and the recently resuscitated “FEMA camp” legislation to name but a few pieces of supporting evidence.

Let me be entirely clear: the reason why guns are necessary in America is to protect us from our the bad guys who own our government and their never-ending quest for more power and more wealth at the expense of everyone else.

Another thing that students of history know quite well is why empires always end up crumbling – imperial overreach. Never satisfied, empires always try to take to take more, they get overextended militarily, and eventually recede into the dustbin of history. This is what is happening to the American empire right now. The country is beyond bankrupt. Americans are completely uncompetitive in the world marketplace for talent, intelligence, and work ethic. The constant bullying of the rest of the world is losing us allies and creating new enemies daily with every new terrorist drone strike that Obama orders from his cushy war room couch while being fed grapes by the White House eunuchs. The only thing America really has going for it these days is the petrodollar and its obscene military supremacy.

Unfortunately for the bad guys, Americans are starting to wake up to this reality. The internet has been a real thorn in the side of the bad guys as it has allowed ideas and information to travel much more freely. Walking down the street, one can not help but see the decay in living standards experienced by the vast majority of Americans, the crumbling of the cities, and the increasingly blatant corruption of the owners of America and their politician lackeys. Nothing exemplifies the societal decay in the US more than the violence, corruption, poverty and filth that permeates cities like Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC, St. Louis and so many others.

But the owners are not stupid. They are overconfident, but they are deadly and smart. If I was one of them, I would see the writing on the wall and recognize that as the average citizen’s situation becomes more and more desperate, sooner or later all hell will break loose. If I were one of the bad guys, here would be my plan:

1: Arm myself thoroughly with the most destructive weaponry in existence. Crush rebellion ruthlessly and decisively.

2: Make the people as stupid, distracted, apathetic and unhealthy as possible, and therefore unqualified to fight back (and see this).

3: Make people as dependent on government as possible for their day-to-day needs so that withdrawing government support would would cripple dissent.

4: Divide the people from each other as much as possible with false political, racial, and cultural divides.

5: Disarm the populace.

6: Impose a police state, imprisoning or killing any potential opposition.

7: Hookers and coke.

So as you can see, things are going very well for the bad guys in the short term. Eventually they will topple themselves with their own greed as the parasite completely devours the host. As productivity declines, the petrodollar collapses, economic collapse accelerates, the pie will get smaller and smaller. We will see the 0.1% turn on the 1%, and the worst elements of American society will begin infighting over the remaining scraps of wealth. I also imagine there will be civil war, as some parts of the country will try to break away and try to go their own way. Lots of regular people will suffer and die during this period. While this collapse is inevitable, what will happen afterwards hangs in the balance today.

The best chance for America lies with those that have the means to resist and defend themselves against the violent death throes of the American empire. Those means include cooperation, courage, preparation, and and many, many guns. Force or the threat of force is the only argument these tyrants understand.

Thomas Jefferson said, “The Tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” This is fact. Hopefully it will be mostly tyrant blood this time around.

Call me Charlie. I decided to join with others to write this blog because I feel that I have learned a lot about how to succeed in life in general. It took a lot of trial and error and I've developed a wealth of philosophies, skills, and tricks of the trade that would be very useful to like minded guys out there. There's no need to repeat my mistakes, of which I have made many, instead I urge you to read this blog, absorb and practice its lessons, and then go out and have the most awesome life, on your own terms. To me that means good health, success in your career, the number and type of relationships you want, and general satisfaction that you're not wasting your life spinning your wheels, but going forward always towards your goals.

  • Scary indeed. I fear that it is an uphill battle. So long as there is “food and games,” the American sheeple will be too distracted with the ISIS threat to see their freedoms eroded.

Some will heed the warning and will diversify, but, there will be storms ahead for the American people…

I agree with the premise of this article, but all generations have sought importance by telling themselves that this is the LAST generation able to do something. the end never came, generation after generation.

the way the USA manages to extended its dominance over the planet… I just don’t see that ending any time soon, nor the American standard of living. we’ll still be spouting this stuff when we’re 100 trillion in the red.

like environmentalists, we’ll always claim that the end is nigh… but WHEN? HOW?

mind you, I’m a proto-prepper. I know this will all happen. but not at our current pace of complete domination by the government.

if and when the SHTF, how can they be toppled? this isn’t 18th century France when a handful of people (literally) did all the work.

    • We’ll soon find out. Don’t be a victim of normalcy bias.

As someone wise said, it’s not world that needs peace, its people. Unforunatelly you on the same side of barricade as the government. As long as change will be made by force there will be no peace in this world. Thas another thing you should know from history. You just become another tyrant after killing the old one.

Jesus fucking Christ (who doesn’t exist). How can I have read someone’s writing and opinions and agreed with them for so long, only to read this horse shit. I’ve got a belly full of dog shit; and you lay this shit on me?? Being well traveled is supposed to give you perspective. People growing up in Australia, the U.K., Germany, Japan or China… almost fucking anywhere don’t talk about guns, they don’t care about guns and they certainly aren’t scared of the bogeyman government that you think is out to get you. Go buy some cans of beans, buy some bullets, dig a bunker, wrap yourself in the American flag and wait for the Apocalypse that you think is coming. There won’t be a grand revolution of disaffected Americans that have been oppressed by their government. Instead, Americans will continue to live relatively good lives, the country will decline relative to its place in the world over the last 100 years and as long as everyone can live with that (the British have gotten used to it), then things will be fine. Worst case scenario, there is always Jerry Springer and Judge Judy.

    • I think your comment is not very smart. We will see who is right soon enough.

    • Yeah, those poor Jews in 1938 didn’t need any guns.

As a student of history, I see again and again that people only look to their past to see their future. To see the possibilities for your grandchildren, you need to look at the lives of your Great-Grandparents. When I look at the lives of my Great-Grandparents, I see wars, oppression, guns, violence, famine, intrusive governments, etc.

Just because Europe has had peace for a 1/2 Century shouldn’t lull the average European into the idea that he will never need a gun. That same apathy didn’t work very well for the Bosnians now, did it?

You seem to know everything about everything but you are completely nuts !
More than 200 years of freedom have blown your mind…

Americans are killing themselves slowly by eating processed junk food that poisons their bodies. The whole “right to bear arms” issue depends on your ethics: Do you really need a gun if you live in a safe suburb? Are Americans really that paranoid these days? Like the article mentions above, the U.S. government is armed to the teeth with the most advanced weapons. How can you fight a tank or nuke? Realistically-speaking, people should take care of themselves first and stop worrying about political garbage.

    • Proudly Unaffiliated

      1. Yes.
      2. Fearful, yes. Paranoid, no. The fear is rational.
      3. Both tanks and nukes are of no use against a heavily armed civilian population intermixed with tyrants and their accomplices.

We will take care of ourselves and are ever vigilant wrt “political garbage.”

  • Proudly Unaffiliated

Thank you. It will be mostly tyrant blood, to be sure.

If all americans understood this way of thinking, there would be no need to even write this article. But it’s too late, I’m sorry to say. To be honest, the average american no longer deserves freedom. I’ve been saying this for years now. They really don’t. They deserve exactly what they’re getting right now. All I can say for those who deserve better is to move to another country. Check out places like Switzerland- one of the most democratic countries in world, citizen political participation at every level and a fully automatic rifle in every home. That’s freedom.
