Your Health is Your Most Important Asset

We at Single Dude Travel believe as one of our most core beliefs is that the key to success in all of life comes in self-improvement.  There are tricks to getting the most out of life but we believe that it is most important to make yourself the smartest, strongest, coolest and most successful dude you can be.  If you make the most of yourself business success and girls will come as a natural part of the process.

Boris has already discussed how to free yourself from the corporate prison, so hopefully you’re working on improving your professional health already.  Today we are going to take a look at your physical health.  So ask yourself the following questions:

First of all, do you smoke?  If you do, quit that shit immediately.  What the fuck are you thinking?  I find it hard to believe you’re that much of an idiot to not know how bad smoking is for you, so why are you still doing it?  You know it kills people.  And it’s expensive.

1/2 pack a day X $4 a pack (conservative estimate) = $730 a year.

That’s enough for a plane ticket and week on the beach in Playa del Carmen watching beautiful girls from Europe and Mexico walk by in their bikinis.  Enough said.  Quit.

Next, how much sleep are you getting?  6 hours or less?  That’s not enough.  Get some more sleep.  No enough sleep is not good for you.  It’s bad for your physical health, as well as your brain’s ability to function.  Plus if you keep it up like this you’re going to wind up with permanent black circles around your eyes and look ten years older than you should.  If you’re still trapped n the rat race and working long hours, you still need sleep, no excuses.  Quit fucking around on the internet and just get your work done.  Get rid of your TV.  And don’t waste any more time hanging out with some mediocre American girl you don’t even like that much.  Just get some sleep, save some money, and get to work on your escape plan.

Now, how much do you drink?  Do you sit down at night to a six pack or more in front of the TV?  Are you going out getting hammered every weekend?  Please, stop drinking so much.  Alcohol is a poison.   It also doesn’t make you better at anything, and is really an expensive habit.  This is the advice I needed the most when I was younger.  I would estimate that I have wasted tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars drinking in bars in my life.   If you need to alter your consciousness, get a vaporizer and smoke pot instead.  There’s no calories, no hangover, no cancer and it’s the cheapest drug there is.  Just make sure you have some healthy munchies in the fridge.



Ok, what do you eat?  Are you eating fast food?  Refined sugars?  Lots of cheap hormone filled meat?  White bread, pasta, rice, etc?  Stop eating that poison.  Eat some veggies.  Tofu.  Wheat bread.  This typical American food is so bad for you.  It’s why we have a 30% obesity rate in America and climbing.  I’m no food Nazi by any standard, but you have to pay attention to what you eat if you don’t want to have manboobs and lovehandles.

Finally, are you working out?  If you’re like most Americans in the last 25 years, you’ve been gaining weight, so it’s time to deal with that.  It’s not like you have to be a Greek god, but chicks dig hot guys or at least guys who are confident about their looks.  The good litmus test is:  Would you feel comfortable approaching a beautiful girl at the beach with your shirt off?  If so, you’re either in good shape already or confident enough that it doesn’t matter.  For the rest of you, it’s time to hit the gym.

Furthermore, working out is just good for you.  When you work out and eat right, you just feel better, all of the time.  There’s a lot of good endorphins associated with exercising regularly. You will notice a bounce in your step. Your sex life will improve.  Exercise also slows the effects of aging.  If you don’t want to have to shuffle around in a walker or get your ass wheeled around in a wheelchair for 20 years at the end of your life, start working out now.  The effects of your lifestyle in your 20s and 30s will be huge when you are in your 70s and 80s.

Your health is absolutely the most important thing in your life.  Without it, not much else really matters.  It’s very hard to be happy if you’re not healthy.  Look at all the billionaire Arab sheiks flying to the Mayo Clinic for treatment.  Their money isn’t worth anything to them when they die of lung cancer or are bedridden with heart disease or diabetes for 20 years.  Getting your health under control is an essential life project.  Start today.
