I’ve written frequently before about my love of the company of high quality women. I am at heart a womanizer. But sometimes I start to think that I’ve gotten a little too good at it. It’s hard to stop the constant picking up of beautiful friendly exotic women, and sometimes I bite off more than I can chew. Believe it or not there is such thing as having too many girlfriends! It’s so easy go on automatic pilot when traveling and I often just can’t stop myself from picking up new potential future ex-wives when I go out and there’s so many available options, and I meet more women these days than I have time to see. Every Saturday morning, when my alarm goes off super early (at 10AM) and as I groggily lift my head off the pillow, the girl next to me says,
“Carlos, que haces?” to which I reply:
“Voy al farmers’ market, mi corazonita. Regreso en una hora con desayuno y mas amor!”
Then I step out and drop by the farmer’s market. So I’m sure your next question is: Why would I leave that gorgeous Costa Rican girl in bed to go buy some vegetables?
Because: Real men go to the Farmers’ Market.
It’s so useful for so many reasons. In today’s world of super unhealthy processed food, the McDonalds epidemic, and lots of artificial pesticides and fertilizer, … [Read more]
A famous and classic American party destination, New Orleans, the city of jambalaya, Hand Grenades, Mardi Gras, Emeril, the Saints, Louis Armstrong, and Bourbon Street took a huge hit in the tragedy 2005’s Hurricane Katrina. Boris and I made a brief visit there recently and are happy to announce that the party in New Orleans is still going strong. Amazing food, lots of live music, and plenty of heavy drinking make New Orleans a vacation destination worth visiting.
But, New Orleans is not a great single dude travel destination. High drink prices, stupid trashy locals, and the rise of hipsterism and douchebaggery have lowered the status of one of America’s former crown jewels to the back of the … [Read more]

Welcome to Eastern Europe, where the pivo is cheap, the women are krasiva and people are experts at taking 3 hours to drink an espresso. The first practical lesson for you in this paradise is easy: Don’t get a hotel. Stay in an apartment! You can rent an apartment for the same price or less than a hotel in virtually any Eastern European city. All you have to do is Google “apartment rental [insert city of your choice]” and start shopping.
Lesson One: Rent an apartment when you stay in Eastern Europe, and get an apartment near the center of town.
Now let’s talk about the reasons why you want an apartment over a hotel besides cost (short … [Read more]
Ok, so you’ve booked the ticket for your first trip to some place where the beer is cheap and the women are beautiful, nice and can’t wait to meet you. Now what? How do you get ready for the trip? What homework might pay dividends? How do you make sure you’re as ready as you can be?
First of all, save your goddamn money. If you’re like me and have to be in America or Western Europe for job reasons most of the time, going out to meet girls is pretty much a waste of time and definitely a waste of money. It’s just throwing your money and precious time away at late night clubs drinking $5-7 beers and … [Read more]
